Experience nature and a glimpse of farm life in one unforgettable stay.
Belle House Story
Belle House is a tiny home nestled in the trees on the Black Oak Farms property. The 800 square feet home was built by Matt himself to be used as a college residence for his and Ang’s oldest daughter, Belle. Just as construction began, Matt was seriously injured in a horseback riding accident, and the project was put on hold. In the meantime, Belle met a boy, fell in love, and got married. Thereafter, Belle House took on an entirely different purpose, but kept the name!
On the Inside
The home has an undeniable treehouse feel with large windows that display the beauty of the outdoors. Much intentional effort has been made to bring the outside in and ensure guests are immersed in their natural surroundings. From the area’s wildlife to local vegetation, Belle House pays homage to Northwest Arkansas in the details.
Guests will find a quaint living space and bathroom with a large walk-in shower, as well as a kitchen area and eating space. Upstairs, the loft offers a queen-size bed, while the floor-level couch unfolds to sleep one person comfortably.
On the Outside
Guests can enjoy their morning coffee on Belle House’s deck, overlooking the property, or relax in hammocks beneath the trees. A large fire pit sits nearby surrounded by chairs and plenty of firewood for s’mores or a hot dog roast. And if you’re an animal lover, an enclosure next to the house is home to a rotating group of our friendliest farm animals.
Another unique feature of a Belle House stay is access to Black Oak Farms’ walking trail. Guests can make their way down the hill along the marked trail that circles the hayfields and runs alongside the creek—a great place to explore! The trail also takes guests by the barn, home to our goats, donkeys, and other animals, as well as our horse pens. Feel free to say hello, but UNLESS ACCOMPANIED BY A BLACK OAK RESIDENT OR FARMHAND, PLEASE DO NOT ENTER THE ANIMALS’ ENCLOSURES! A fun brochure/walking trail map is provided upon arrival.
